Summer She Shed Update

I think the best part about having the new little she shed space is getting to style it! Since I had my baby in the spring, I didn’t really get a chance to change up the decor for spring but summer is looking mighty fine in the shed. I found these beautiful vintage bird prints at an estate sale over the weekend and I have patiently been waiting for a way to use the mismatched wooden frames. The two are really a match made in heaven! I added some fresh herb pots and rearranged my nature and garden books and the whole space feels fresh and ready for the sunshine.

Kitchen Remodel Reveal

The changes I made were simple ones – paint the cabinets and paint the countertops. I will do follow up posts with tips and tricks for each of those fun projects but for now, here is the reveal! In 2 weeks I took my worn out wood cabinets to a beautiful white and my green laminate countertops to a white diamond granite look-alike.

Baby Boy Nursery Reveal

Putting together a nursery was both super exciting and really challenging! It was exciting to picture each little corner and how the room would grow and change with our little boy. Overall, finding the perfect pieces for the space was really challenging because I tend to like gender neutral decor (and to me that doesn’t mean just finding something grey!), I hate themes (like why does every brand of nursery decor have to carry woodland animals, owls or plaid for boys rooms?) and most of all I really want something that will grow with our child and not require an update every few years.

Bathroom Remodel Before and Afters

Wow, what a fun whirlwind project this bathroom has been! This space was a so much fun because there were so many mini projects packed into this little area. I definitely learned some new skills and felt stretched during the process of making this happen. As with most DIY projects, I finished feeling confident and capable and just can’t wait for next one!

Chalk Painted Bathroom Cabinets

Chalk paint became a quick favorite of mine after refinishing a few furniture pieces. I love the creamy looking matte finish and the fact that the prep is so easy. Chalk paint requires no sanding, no special surface prep and will pretty much cover any material you throw at it! The paint is very forgiving and dries super fast. I figured with all of these great qualities, how could it not be great for cabinets?

Giani Marble Bathroom Countertop Makeover

Of all the DIY projects I wanted to try with this bathroom renovation, the Giani Countertop Kit was top of the list! I have always had a love for marble countertops and when I first looked at Giani, I noticed that they carried mostly granite kits. I kept checking back in as I saw many bloggers sharing their DIY countertops and much to my excitement, Giani released a new marble kit!
