Wow, what a fun whirlwind project this bathroom has been! This space was a so much fun because there were so many mini projects packed into this little area. I definitely learned some new skills and felt stretched during the process of making this happen. As with most DIY projects, I finished feeling confident and capable and just can’t wait for next one!
So as I mentioned above, this remodel with split into a bunch of mini projects! The first one was resurfacing the tile around the shower/tub. I took it from a brown/green to a warm white using the Rustolium Tub and Tile Kit. You can see all of the details in this post here.
I refinished my faded laminate countertops using the Giani Marble Countertop Kit. You can see the process of that fun project here.
A shiplap accent wall really brought the wall behind the sink and countertops to life. And of course, I love shiplap! You can see that DIY here.
I tried using chalk paint on cabinets for the first time and absolutely love the results! I used Rustolium Chalk Paint in Charcoal for this project as well as their chalk paint sealer. You can read about that in this post.
I painted my generic nickel faucet, hardware and fixtures using Behr Alkyd in Totally Black. This was such an easy transformation! Details for this project here.
The big impact piece was the painted stenciled floors. I was nervous about this one but Cutting Edge Stencils made this project a dream! I shared all the details and materials used in this post.
For storage, I built farmhouse open shelving and it is such a beautiful focal point that will give me space to decorate. You can check out that DIY here.
And of course the decorating made the process come together beautifully. I love curating a mix of vintage and current pieces to really make a statement in a small space. Also, I wish I could shop for bathroom items all of the time because I found some of the best smelling soaps, candles, sprays and bath salts. Hope you all love this transformation as much as I do!
