Putting together a nursery was both super exciting and really challenging! It was exciting to picture each little corner and how the room would grow and change with our little boy. Overall, finding the perfect pieces for the space was really challenging because I tend to like gender neutral decor (and to me that doesn’t mean just finding something grey!), I hate themes (like why does every brand of nursery decor have to carry woodland animals, owls or plaid for boys rooms?) and most of all I really want something that will grow with our child and not require an update every few years.

Christmas Home Tour
For the Christmas decor this year my goal was to simplify. I wanted simple neutral colors, fewer ornaments, beautiful greenery and to get maximum coziness from minimal decor. I also wanted to challenge myself to not buy any new Christmas decor this year..
Neutral Fall Hutch Re-Style
It’s officially feeling more like fall here in Oregon! The nights are getting cold and even with the warmer days there is a crisp autumn breeze and loads of crunchy leaves. I am enjoying every minute of it because soon we will be dealing with months of rain and if the Farmer’s Almanac is correct, quite a bit of snow!
Bedroom Dresser Update
Chris and I, after 4 years of marriage, are in the phase of ridding our home of the pressboard furniture that we have had since we were young and adding pieces with character that will last for years.
Decorating with Vintage Tins
What better way to incorporate some color and texture into a space than with a vintage tin? They are beautiful and practical!
